Every year we release millions of kg of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, with the average person in Great Britain producing around 10,000kg of CO2 a year.  This is not sustainable. In order to reduce the amount of CO2 in the earth's atmosphere and mitigate the effects of climate change planting trees is essential because a single tree can, on average, absorb 10kg of CO2 each year.
